The easiest way to provide a third-party with access to the web files in a specific folder is to create an FTP account and to set website content access limits with regard to your hosting space. In case you use the services of a web designer, for example, they won’t be able to access any other content or any personal info in your account. You can also create multiple FTP accounts to maintain different Internet sites built with a desktop web design application like Dreamweaver or FrontPage – each website can be published online and later updated using an FTP account that has access to its own website folder on the hosting server. All these things will be possible on the condition that you are able to set up and administer your FTP accounts effortlessly.

FTP Manager in Semi-dedicated Servers

Our semi-dedicated server configurations are managed via the user-friendly, in-house built Hepsia Control Panel. One of its sections – the FTP Manager, is dedicated to administering your FTP accounts and all the things associated with them, so you can administer all the accounts swiftly and effortlessly. It will take a single click to set up a brand new account, to remove an active one or simply to edit its password. You can also see the full list of all your accounts in this section of the Control Panel and, for your convenience, you can sort them in alphabetical order – ascending or descending, either by username or by their access path. Changing the path for a particular account is also rather easy – you only need to click on it and pick the new directory in the pop-up window that will appear, so you won’t have to set up a whole new account if you simply want to define what web files an existing account can access. You can also use auto-config files for commonly used FTP apps like FileZilla and Core FTP.
