In case you wish to transfer a domain name from one company to another, you will need a unique transfer code, which may be called by various names – an EPP authorization code, an AuthInfo code, a domain password, etc. All these names designate the exact same thing – a code that the domain owner obtains from the present domain name registrar and gives to the new one upon ordering. Without an authentic code, a domain transfer process cannot be initiated and this is one of the security measures against unsolicited transfers used with all generic and with most country-specific extensions. For even better security, the code comprises of numbers and/or special symbols and is case-sensitive, so in case you’d like to transfer one of your domain names, you have to supply the new registrar with the right code.

EPP Transfer Protection in Cloud Hosting

In case you have a domain name registered through us and you have a cloud hosting account with us, getting its EPP transfer code is remarkably easy. You won’t have to switch between different admin consoles, as you can administer all your domain names through the exact same Hepsia hosting Control Panel, which is used to manage your shared hosting account. You will see all active domains once you log in and to the right of the domains whose extensions require an EPP code in order to be transferred, you’ll notice a mini EPP icon. All it takes to obtain that code is to click on the icon. The code is always sent to the domain name owner’s mailbox, so in case the one that you gave originally isn’t valid any longer, you can update it with a few clicks of the mouse from the same section.

EPP Transfer Protection in Semi-dedicated Servers

If you have a semi-dedicated server account with our company and you’ve registered a domain name that you wish to transfer, you can obtain the EPP transfer code very easy through the Hepsia Control Panel, via which you’ll manage both your account and your domains. If you go to the Registered Domains section, you’ll see an EPP sign to the right of your domain names, as long as their TLD extensions support transfers between domain name registrars with such a code. All codes are emailed automatically by our system to the registrant’s email to make sure that only the owner of the domain can get this information. In case the current email is not valid, you can modify it with a couple of clicks without the need to leave this Control Panel section. The update is instantaneous, so you will be able to request the EPP code for the given domain straight away.
