A catch-all email mailbox receives messages sent to non-existent email addresses under the same domain name. For example, a message sent to the misspelled suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. In this way, you can receive emails from colleagues or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling error or to an old one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Only one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for such a mailbox. This is due to the fact that at a certain moment you may start receiving spam messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction implies that the spam will not be sent to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

If you host a domain name on our cloud platform and you’ve got a cloud hosting account, you’ll be able to activate the catch-all feature for any mailbox that you create under the domain name. The Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section comes with quite a lot of functions, but it’s really intuitive, so configuring a catch-all mailbox takes only a click. All the email addresses that you’ve created will be enumerated in this section in alphabetical order and you’ll only have to click the "Catch-all" button for the given email address. Our system will alert you if there’s already another catch-all mailbox activated for that domain or if the one that you would like to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding enabled, so you can either turn off the latter feature or choose some other mailbox. Disabling the catch-all option is just as simple and requires one more mouse click on the very same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The catch-all feature can be enabled without any effort in case you have a semi-dedicated server account with our company. All the email addresses that you have created with the domain names hosted in your semi-dedicated server account will be shown in the Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section and you will see a mini icon handily situated right next to each one of them. With only one single mouse click, you can enable or disable the catch-all option for any mailbox of your choice as long as there isn't another mailbox under the same domain with the option already activated and there isn't enabled email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on a mailbox and enable the feature through the context menu that will come into view. If any of the preconditions for setting up a catch-all mailbox is not matched, our system will inform you, but will not deactivate or replace anything automatically.
